Publicity Club of New England Recognizes Boston-Based Agency For Communications Excellence

PerkettPR won its first Bell Ringer Award of the night for excellence in the category of National Print Feature or Commentary Placement. PerkettPR received this award for a feature article secured for Chitika, which hired PerkettPR to help brand and promote Chitika's flagship product eMiniMalls -- the industry's first and only intelligent and interactive product-merchandising service. During the campaign, which was executed within just weeks, PerkettPR not only developed a compelling brand identity, tradeshow theme and slogan, but also executed a media tour during which the firm secured a feature article in The New York Times, complete with an accompanying photo of the client's CEO and product.

PerkettPR also won a Bell award in the category of Response to Breaking News for a campaign for WebEx. When the New York City mass transit strike occurred in late 2005, PerkettPR realized it was the perfect opportunity for WebEx to promote the benefits of its online collaboration tools that allow corporate teams to work together from anywhere in the world. During the transit strike, when many people could not get into New York City, WebEx offered the perfect tool for businesses that wanted to remain fully-functional. Within just 24 hours, PerkettPR scheduled six top tier interviews and obtained 16 pieces of coverage in online media and in broadcast outlets, most notably CBS Network Radio; local New York newscasts CBS-TV Channel 2 and ABC-TV Channel 7; and full coverage on the CBS national and ABC-TV local news websites.
